It's all happiness and friendliness and niceness until someone jumps off a bridge...

We went driving around southern Texas last weekend, which is why my blog post had to post itself. Corpus Christi, Palacios, Victoria, Rockport, Port Aransas...they didn't seem to have quite as many crazy signs as Houston, but it was very, very pretty.

And they are HAPPY down there! Practically ecstatic, really.

The hairdressers are happy:

The plumbers are happy:

In Rockport, there was happy pill art:

(ok, I'm not sure how many of those are actual happy pills, but I'm calling them that to suit my purposes)

Even the tacos were laughing!!!

And there was friendliness too:

(They weren't actually all that friendly if you stopped in to ask directions.)

With all all that happiness and friendliness, it's a wonder they had to remind people not to commit suicide.

But, that's the way it was! Happy, mostly friendly, extremely beautiful, and with only the occasional reminder that you might choose at any moment to jump off a bridge.

Happy, friendly, non-bridge-jumping weekend everyone!

I love your collection of happy and friendly - but maybe they need to redesign the bridge to make it more happy and friendly.

The happy taco looks more like a running burrito.

Nicki - Yeah! So it can fit in with its surroundings, right? :-)

It sort of does, doesn't it Bruce? Well...laughing taco, running burrito...these can be very fine distinctions!

Thanks Amanda! As it turns out, my brother wrote a book about antidepressants. I was thinking maybe I could just ask him.

Thanks Marlene!

A person who manages to deal with other peoples poop and still be happy is someone to really admire.

Ok, you need to do a book with these pics and captions.

Thanks Staci!

Kerry, my daughter always tells me that. But, you know, I wouldn't even know where to begin and can't imagine I'd have the focus.

You are a complete riot! And exactly WHAT are the Mr Nice Guys selling? And is it legal over there???

I think I read that the hairdressers in Holland (or was it the Netherlands?) were the happiest employees in the world.
I gotta echo Lotus07, that' a burrito on the taco sign..

Maybe they would have been friendlier if you asked for directions to another dimension.

Arizaphale - I'm not sure, because actually I stayed outside to take the picture while The-Guy went in to ask!

Mark - I think they're all tacos in Texas. Except for like Freebirds and maybe Mission Burrito, I'm pretty sure were pretty much an all-taco state.

Maybe so Bloggerfather!

LOL, you are a hoot. I love to visit your blog and check out the fun things you post.

As for the unhappy direction givers, you would think they would be the happiest of all, teehee.

Maybe the bridge jumpers were just so happy they couldn't take it anymore ;)
